Online Adventure(OLA) is a Lifestyle Community site for Eco/Adventure travel. Our goal is to provide a place for travelers to archive their adventures, a forum to share their experiences, and a base camp from which to research and launch their next journey.
OLA was created to appeal to individuals who not only like to travel, but who are passionate an adventure lifestyle and the planet they live on. OLA members surf the local beach break, reach out to environmental organizations, explore trails near their home and participate in changing the world for the better, all while planning their next big adventure.
When OLA members travel, they not only explore their destination, but they engage and interact with the cultures they discover and participate in activities that help sustain its development. They are willing to trade ideas and share experiences all while striving to leave a positive mark wherever they go.
A partnership between OLA and its community will help establish the foundation for a true lifestyle website where community members are encouraged to become travel correspondents. In time we hope to represent the best source of content and information pertaining to eco/adventure travel on the web, supported and created by OLA and the community we hope to inspire.
How Do I Use Online Adventure?
- 1. Sign Up and Create a Traveler Profile
- Your Profile is Your Base Camp on OLA. Here you can create a profile of yourself, archive and geo-code your travel videos, photos, and trip itineraries. (Geo-coding is a technology that allows you to assign map coordinates to your media and view it on your personal travel map). At your Base Camp, you will also be able to view travel media that is personalized to your travel preferences. (If you specify an interest in traveling to Fiji in your profile, any media or travel info related to Fiji on the site will be made available to you at your Base Camp). This will allow you to have the tools to research future trips.
- 2. Upload and Archive eco/adventure/active content.
- Use the geo-tagging technology to map exactly where your media was shot. Share your travel media and information, and access the information of other members.
- 3. Share your travel media with the community.
- Make your media not just interesting to look at and listen to, but also a useful resource for the Community. Think like a travel correspondent. Edit the footage into a tight video. Add music to the piece. Include an itinerary within the description field for the video or photo or any research you did about the adventure including links to outfitters or lodges you recommend using, or not using. Part of our Phase Two development will be to establish an OLA Travel Channel and to distribute the best content from the site and hold contests for high quality media. You could win exciting trips so create great content.

- Find personalized travel information you can find nowhere else about places you'd like to go. Our goal is to be the ultimate resource for Conscious Adventure Travel. We're working to attract a community of people who travel to experience foreign cultures and leave a positive mark wherever they go.
- 5. Invite your like-minded friends to join OLA.
- Help us build a true Lifestyle Site that will benefit the entire community. The Partnership created between OLA and its members will represent a powerful entity. As a group with similar interests, we can develop Adventure Travel partnerships and gain access to discounted travel accommodations, gear, and apparel.
