A: Yes. ONLINE ADVENTURE offers free video and photo storage.

Q: Do I need any software to upload videos?
A: No. You do not need additional software downloaded on your computer to enjoy ONLINE ADVENTURE. We have built the tool to be user friendly with any web browser.
Q: How do I change my password?
A: To change your ONLINE ADVENTURE log in password, when you log into your account, you have this ability in the 'Edit Profile' section. Once you click on the 'Edit Profile' link, scroll to the bottom and you will see where you can assign a new password.
Q: What video formats can I upload into ONLINE ADVENTURE?
A: ONLINE ADVENTURE is able to accept the majority of video formats.
The following list the videos that we support.

Video for Windows: .AVI
Apple Quick Time: .MOV
MPEG Video (MPEG2 or MPEG4): .MPG
Q: What is the best video for uploading to the site?
A: The best video for the site is HD video. Although the site is not true HD it does support this format. This is what we have found.
We recommend using the H.264 codec at size 1280x720, bit rate 3000-5000 kbits/sec (optimized for "download"), key frame every 30 frames (frame reordering on), using whatever frame rate you shot in. For sound, use AAC at 128kbps in stereo.
Also, if you export your videos out of your editor, set the custom dimensions of 600X340 they will fit the player great, or you can post them in the normal HD format listed below. We have found that when you export to QuickTime using the H.264 compression and the said dimensions has worked best.
Q: How do I share my videos?
A: Join ONLINE ADVENTURE by registering as member. Once you have joined use the Upload video section to browse your hard drive and upload your video.
Q: How do I remove a video?
A: To remove one of your videos, simply go to My videos page, Click on the 'delete' link next to the video you would like to remove.
Q: What is Geotagging?
A: Geotagging is a great feature that we hope to further develop over time. After you have uploaded a Video or Photo you are pointed toward an edit area. There you can Title the Video or Photo, include as much information as you like about it, and geotag it. Geotagging allows you to assign a point on a map for your Video or Photo. Once Geotagged, that Video or Photo will display on all OLA maps including the maps on your Profile and Dashboard pages.
Q: How do I invite friends to ONLINE ADVENTURE?
A: In order to invite friend to join ONLINE ADVENTURE, please click here and you will be able to send them an invitation.
Q: How do I embed videos on my MySpace, Friendster, Blogger and eBay profiles?
A: On each video page there are Player Tags for embedding this video into websites outside ONLINE ADVENTURE. All you have to do is copy the contents of the field (view screenshot) and paste them into the HTML of your blog record or website code. Some blog services do not allow HTML tags, or allow them partially. In this case embedding a ONLINE ADVENTURE video can be impossible.
Q: I'm worried about people seeing my private videos. Can I keep videos private?
A: Yes, but as a community site we encourage you to share your experiences with fellow travelers. Currently when you upload a video it is made "active" and therefore available for the community's viewing pleasure. However, videos can be made inactive by going to the "edit video" area and making the video inactive by un-checking the active check box.
Q: Can I still be a member even if I do not have any videos to upload?
A: Absolutely! We encourage everyone who enjoys watching the video to join and contribute in any way they can. If you have no videos or photos to share then tell us about yourself and feel free to interact with the community.
Q: What is the difference between My Profile and My Dashboard?
A: The two pages are reflections of each other. However, My Profile is seen by the Community when they click on your OLA name and My Dashboard is your private page where you can manage your information and media and view suggested videos, photos, and destinations.
Q: Does ONLINE ADVENTURE allow all videos? What is your policy on pornography and extreme violence?
A: No, ONLINE ADVENTURE does not allow such videos. ONLINE ADVENTURE currently does not allow videos that contain nudity, profanity or extreme violence in any way. Content deemed inappropriate will be deleted and the member will be warned. Repeat offence and OLA user will be removed from the ONLINE ADVENTURE community.
Q: How can I improve my video?
A: In general we encourage you to act as a Travel Correspondent. Include as much information in the "Description" field as you can. Add an itinerary. Cut and paste research you did about a destination or adventure. Edit your videos with software such as Windows MovieMaker (included with every Windows installation), or Apple iMovie. Using these programs you can easily edit your videos, add soundtracks, etc. We also encourage you to Geotag all your videos and photos so they display on all our Google Maps.
Q: What capturing software do you recommend?
A: There are series of software that can be used for capturing, some of them are supplied by video camera manufacturers, of course, it is always better to use software made especially for your type of camera, although we recommend that the beginners use Virtual Dub software if there's no capturing software supplied by manufacturer. The program is easy to download and install, and you don't need to spend much time adjusting it. Otherwise the best video editing software on the market is Final Cut and exporting your video to Quicktime is easy to do.
