I have a very long life "to-do" list and I really don't want to miss anything on it.

  • About Me

I never really know what to write in these but I shall attempt to sum up 25 years in a paragraph. I was born in Chester, England and I am so grateful for that. It is the most gorgeous English town and provided me with such an amazing childhood. I stayed in Chester until I was 10, with the exception of 1 1/2 years in Hong Kong where we relocated for my Dads work. At 10 I moved to Sydney, Australia where I stayed until I was 16 when I moved to the country town of Wagga Wagga for 3 years to complete a degree in Television Production. After a few more years in Sydney and 6 months in Melbourne, I moved to London at the start of this year as I needed a change of scenery (a British passport doesnt hurt either). Since uni I have worked in various forms of television: drama, documentary, music video, childrens, and it was music videos that interested me the most that I began directing my own whilst in Sydney. Throughout all of this though, it has been travel that has completely taken over my life and now I just see work as a means to fund my travels, all the while trying to find ways I can travel for a living. In 2004 I produced a documentary on the Tibetan Childrens Village which won Grand Jury Prize for Documentary Short at the New York Independent Film Festival, so if I could have a long career in travel documentaries, well that would be ideal.

  • What are your favorite things to do?

Eat (good) sushi, drink (good) wine, sit in an airport departure lounge knowing I am about to visit somewhere else for the first time, conceptualise/direct music videos, play my rickety old piano, listening to songs that instantly re-create memories, and anything to do with cats or The Brady Bunch.

  • What inspires you?

Surrounding myself with motivated people who themselves are inspired to not follow what everyone says and to do what makes them happy. Anyone who still believes what they wanted to do as a child is still possible is someone I want to be friends with.

  • If you could change one thing in the world, what would it be?

    Animal cruelty wouldn't exist.
