Named after Costa Rica's third president, Braulio Carrillo National Park contains 7 distinct life zones on more than 40,000 hectares of what many consider to be the some of the most pristine and diverse tropical forest found in Central America.

Species diversity is spectacular, including more than 1,850 species of plants, 350 species of trees, 448 species of birds, and approximated 500 species of ants.
